Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
These Terms apply when you use the Orbit browser extension and related services (the setyourorbit.com website, the admin dashboard, and Orbit's data-sync servers). By creating an account or using Orbit, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.
1. Account
- Orbit only supports signing in with Google or Apple — there is no separate password — you need a valid Google or Apple account to use Orbit.
- You are responsible for keeping your Google/Apple account secure; Orbit cannot restore access if you lose control of that account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an Orbit account (see also section 11 of the Privacy Policy).
- Each account is for one individual; do not share your account login with other people.
2. Plans
- Free plan — free of charge, with limits on the number of workspaces, the number of collections per workspace, and the number of members per workspace (see details on the Pricing page).
- Pro plan — paid, removes the limits above. The Pro plan price is shown on the Pricing page and may be adjusted by Orbit; the price already applied to a confirmed payment/renewal will not change.
- Orbit may grant a time-limited Pro trial (free of charge) to certain accounts, up to once per account unless Orbit decides otherwise.
3. Payment & Upgrading to Pro
Automatic payment via LemonSqueezy is currently undergoing LemonSqueezy's business verification review and is not yet active. In the meantime, upgrading to the Pro plan is handled manually:
- You pay via bank transfer (Vietnam) or one of the international payment methods listed on the upgrade screen (e.g. PayPal, Payoneer...), using the exact amount and transfer reference shown.
- After confirming receipt of payment, the Orbit team will activate the Pro plan on your account for the corresponding duration (e.g. 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or lifetime) as soon as possible — this process is not instant like automatic payment.
- The remaining duration of your Pro plan is shown under the "Plan" section in Orbit's Settings.
- Once automatic payment via LemonSqueezy is activated, Orbit will update these Terms; at that point LemonSqueezy will act as the Merchant of Record for transactions processed through that channel.
4. Refunds & Disputes
Since payment is currently processed manually, if you have paid but your plan has not been upgraded after a reasonable amount of time, or you want to cancel or request a refund, please contact [email protected] with proof of payment (transaction screenshot, reference code, etc.). Orbit will review and respond as soon as possible.
5. Acceptable Use
When using Orbit, you agree not to:
- Use Orbit for unlawful purposes, or store or share content that violates the law or infringes the rights of third parties.
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or other people's accounts, or interfere with the normal operation of the service (e.g. denial-of-service attacks, unauthorized vulnerability scanning).
- Copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute Orbit beyond what the law permits.
- Create accounts in bulk using automated tools (bots) to abuse trial plans or free features.
Orbit reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate the rules above without prior notice.
6. Your content & data
Workspaces, collections, tabs, notes, and any other content you create in Orbit remain your property. Orbit only processes this data to operate the service (storage, syncing across devices, displaying it to members you share it with) — see the Privacy Policy for details. You can request deletion of your account data at any time by following the instructions there.
7. Intellectual Property
The name "Orbit", its interface, source code, and branding are owned by the Orbit development team. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the Orbit software beyond the right to use the service for its intended purpose.
8. Termination
You may stop using Orbit at any time. Orbit may suspend or discontinue the service (in whole or in part) for maintenance, upon discovering a violation of these Terms, or when discontinuing the product — in the case of discontinuing the product, Orbit will try to give advance notice and provide a way for you to export or delete your data.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Orbit is operated independently on its own server infrastructure (self-hosted) and is provided "as is", with no guarantee that the service will run continuously or be error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orbit is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.
10. Changes to these Terms
Orbit may update these Terms when the service changes (e.g. when automatic payment via LemonSqueezy is activated). The most recent update date always appears at the top of the page; continuing to use Orbit after these Terms are updated means you accept those changes.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
